How do I convince my parents that I make enough money playing poker that I don’t need a summer job?

I’m 18 years old and ive been playing poker for a few years, but only using real money for about a year. Ive had 2 jobs so far, working 15-20 hours a week for 10.25$ which is the minimum salary here in Canada. Right now im not working and my mom has been asking me to get a job non stop for like 2 months. The problem is that for like a week or so ive been taking note of how much time i play online poker and how much i win or lose in any given session. I’m in university and i have exams Dec 10-13 so i haven’t been playing much since i started taking note of my winnings. anyway since Dec 1st, ive played 15.3 hours and won 194$ online, for 12.60$/h. I also finished 2nd in my weekly home game and i won a 25 ish person fund raiser tournament for another 425$ and a total of 619$ in a week. how do i convince my parents that i dont need a job for the next 3-4 years or so?
ok first of all tonya. poker isn’t about luck at all. i would try to explain why but most people don’t understand anyway because poker is still seen as gambling even tho its turning into a sport so i’ll just leave it at that. and i mentionned im in university, im not trying to make a living on poker for the rest of my life im going to get a degree and a real job after im done obviously, im just debating the fact that i dont need a job RIGHT NOW because im making more money playing poker.
and Sean. i know any idiot can get lucky but i said ive been playin for a YEAR not for 15 hours, ive just been taking note of my exact winigns for that ammount of time. obviously im a winning player its not hard to understand that i made ONE deposit over a year ago and im now well over a few thousands, even tho i withdrawed some money a few times. trust me i played a lot more than 50 000 hands, not counting the home games that i won not once but every other week or so and the cash games at the casino
Should some of the summer games be moved to winter games to add sports?

Since there is a cap on the number of sports that can be in the Olympics, and the summer seems to have an abundance of events, couldn’t they move some summer sports to winter?
Moving some events would allow them to consider reinstating baseball and softball, but also adding other events, like American football, rugby, cricket, karate, reinstating tug-of-war, etc.
Many are indoor, so table tennis, boxing, weightlifting, wrestling, judo, and taekwondo could be moved easily. Gymnastics could also be moved, but I think it’s a major part of the summer games, so I wouldn’t want that.

How would one make a list showing the most accurate idea of winning at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games?

How would you put together a table, in rank by nation, that shows which nation truly won and which truly lost?
The way the list in the link at the bottom of my details has them doesn’t seem to do this; it just shows countries in order of medals. The U.S (where I live, so I’m not biased) may have the most medals for the fact that we have had the most athletes (613 according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_at_the_2004_Summer_Olympics).
What are all of the factors I should consider when building a new list that shows which countries have truly won and which have truly lost? It’s ok if you come up with many factors. Thank you.
